The parish council website is being developed and has details of local planning applications and other parish information. Have a look at www.stroud.gov.uk/hillesleyandtresham


Planning

There is a free e-mail alert service offered by Stroud District Council to receive information about any planning applications within 100 metres of your postcode. Sign up at www.stroud.gov.uk/alerts - and even the plans are online so no more visiting the council offices.

Hillesley Tennis Club

The AGM will be held at 7.45 pm in Hopkins Hall and the committee looks forward to seeing as many members as possible, and of course, new members are more than welcome to come along and see what it is all about.

Hillesley Allotment Association

The allotments are now all taken!!! A waiting list has been drawn up, so should you fancy a go at 'growing your own' please contact Heather Cooke to come up and have a look at how you can have your very own slice of paradise!

 

The Stroud Valleys Project...

run all sorts of interesting events. They say "Our goal is to see a properly functioning environment providing everyone living in, working in and visiting the Stroud district with a good quality of life, clean air and water, good health sustainable communities, and do their bit to tackle those big environmental problems at the grassroots level." Jubilee Field Management Committee

Thanks to everyone who came to the Ceilidh - a fantastic turnout - and almost £800 was raised.

The playground refurbishment is now almost complete - much safer, and more fun for children of all ages. Many thanks to Linda Frankland for all her hard work in securing the funding and organising the work.

We are looking for a cleaner - an hour a week - to keep the hall and pavilion under control. Please contact Steve (842952) if you are interested.

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust

Coppiced hazel pea and bean sticks from Lower Woods are now for sale at the Nature Reserve - £3.50 for 10 bean sticks (7 foot long), and £2.50 for 10 pea sticks. Phone Tom Burditt on 07787 511932 for details, or directions to the reserve.
