7th Great Hillesley Bike Ride
Thank you all 64-plus of you who turned up for the beautiful sunshine, fantastic views, stinker hills, lunch (or not!), tea and cakes and finally the Hog Roast!
General agreement seems to be that it was a good day, and a good cycle! We raised about £90 towards our 10th ride 'special'.
Photographs are up on the website... click here...NEW

Clay Pigeon Shoots
The enforcement officer has contacted the shooting club on the Kingswood Road, and as a result, the shooting has dropped back down to its allowable useage of a maximum of 28 days per year, so every other Sunday.
Should planning permission be sought for a 'formal' shooting club/venue (and the obvious implications of potentially seven days a week of shooting!) villagers will be notified through the website and Hillesley Happenings so that a fair opportunity to comment can be given to those that are most impacted (unfortunately it is Kingswood parish council that would receive the application for comments, not Hillesley & Tresham parish council - yet we are the ones most impacted!). Watch this space. |

New Webmaster...
Having developed and updated the website for some eight years, the time has come for some new fresh ideas and input... please let me (Sandy 521295) know if you'd be interested in taking over the website. It is a useful village resource and doesn't take too much time.
